Frequently Asked Questions
How do I book an appointment?
You can book appointments online using the widget on the right-hand side of your screen or by calling the salon on 01932 850844.
How do I change or cancel an appointment?
Please contact the salon or use the online booking tool if you have registered.
We don’t charge cancellation fees, however repeated late cancellations or no-shows may result in prepayment being required for future appointments. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
Who is your most experienced stylist?
Everyone is recruited and trained to a minimum level of standard. Of course, some stylists are more specialised in some aspects of hairdressing than others. If you have any questions about what stylist would best suit your needs, please contact the salon directly.
Why do I need a skin patch test?
Your safety is the up most importance to us. Our hair colour systems, including Aveda Full Spectrum, contain chemicals that in a minor amount of cases can cause allergic reactions.
Even if you have had your hair coloured in the past, wherever it was in another salon or at home, we do still require you to have a skin patch test. This is because different colour lines use different chemicals that can cause an allergic reaction.
A skin patch test only takes 5 minutes. Simply pop into the salon, at your convenience (no appointment required) and one of our team will perform it for you. Tests are valid for a maximum of 6 months providing you haven’t had a tattoo, black henna tattoo or permanent make up in the meantime in that time.
I’m looking to change my hair colour or have a colour correction; how do I book this?
Please contact the salon directly and we will book you in for a consultation with one of our team. They will be able to discuss your desired results as well as feasibility, timings and costs with you.
How natural is Aveda Full Spectrum hair colour?
Aveda is committed to making its hair colour product as natural as possible. Aveda Full Spectrum contains 96% of ingredients that are naturally derived from flowers and plants.
The other 4% of ingredients consist of the hair colour dyes, chelators (chemicals that remove build-up from hair) and emulsifiers (keeps the water and oils in the product together).
The only 100% permanent natural hair colour that you can get is henna. Unlike modern hair colour which uses a process of oxidation to change the colour molecules in the hair, henna acts like a varnish and permanently stains the outer layer of the hair. We currently don't offer henna colour services.
